》》》 Blue is a serene and calming color that represents intelligence, responsibility, authority, and royalty. Light blue is peaceful, while dark blue can signify depth & power. Scientists generally agree that humans began to see blue as a color when they started making blue pigments. Cave paintings from 20,000 years ago lack any blue color, since blue is rarely present in nature. You say the sky is blue... or is it? A child that has never had the sky described to them will often struggle to describe the color. Some say it's white, or even colorless. Tribes in some countries can't distinguish between blue & green. There is no mention in ancient Greek texts about blue. They speak of black & white, yellow & red... but not blue. It simply didn't exist. Then about 6,000 years ago, humans began to develop blue pigments. Lapis, a semiprecious stone mined in Afghanistan, became highly prized among the Egyptians. They loved the bright blue color of the mineral. They then used chemistry to combine the rare lapis with ingredients such as calcium & limestone to generate other shades of blue colorants. It was then that an Egyptian word for "blue" emerged. Slowly the Egyptians spread their expensive blue dyes throughout the world, and now, like the ancient Egyptians, blue is adored everywhere
