》》》Selenophile: (n.) A person who loves the moon ••• With the exception of gold, copper is the only other metal on the periodic table whose coloring isn't naturally gray or silver. A tiny copper awl found in the middle east is the oldest metal object. Dating back to 5100 BC, it is the oldest metal manipulated by humans. Copper is also highly conductive. It is the third most consumed metal in the world, and about three quarters of that goes to making electrical wires, telecommunication cables, and electronics. Perhaps the most well known use of copper, however, is the U.S. penny. It used to be made of pure copper, although now it's mainly zinc with a thick copper skin.
